Abstract

Slabs.-Slabs having tongued-and-grooved vertical edges are hollowed on one face. leaving upstanding ribs forming spacing projections which are apertured to receive securing bolts. Fig. 2 shows one construction in which fastening strips c of wood or metal are used in connection with the bolts b to secure adjacent slabs to one another. In this case, the spacing projections are at each end of the slab. Fig. 4 shows a construction in whch each slab has a central spacing projection in addition to those at the ends. These slabs are used to form hollow walls as shown, with the slabs breaking joint, and the bolts passing through the end projections of a pair of abutting slabs and through the central projection of the opposing slab.
