Building blocks, special shapes of. - An H- shaped building block is formed with recesses c at the top and bottom of the two parallel flanges and with projecting ribs d on each side of the joining web. In assembling, two flanges of separate blocks are fitted in the upper channel of the block in Fig. 1, so that their recesses e engage the ribs d while their ribs engage the illustrated recesses e. Two other blocks engage the lower channel of the block similarly. Positioning pins or studs f may engage recesses on the adjacent blocks. In a modified construction, Fig. 3, the two recesses e are combined in a semicircular groove and the central portion of the web is omitted. Half or other parts of blocks may be used at the ends of walls to fill up the spaces in the end blocks and present a level surface.
