Abstract

241,445. Simmons, E. W. March 11, 1925. Building blocks, special shapes of.-A building block comprises three integral members, one being a main member having vertical walls with plane exterior faces and enclosing a rectangular space divided internally into two parts by a diagonal or normally disposed inner wall, and the others comprising extension members on each of two opposite or adjacent sides of the main member, the extension members each comprising vertically disposed walls enclosing a rectangular space and having dimensions in two directions equal to half the corresponding dimensions of the main member, the whole block having not less than six vertically disposed plain walls. Fig. 1 shows a T-shaped black in which 10 is the main member and 11, 12 are the extension members, while Fig. 2 shows another construction in which the extension members 11, 12 project from the same corner of the main member. Figs. 3 and 4 show other constructions suitable for corner blocks.
