Bricks, special shapes of.- A chimney is formed with a zig-zag or sinuous flue by building it up from a number of similar blocks a each having like oblique passages b therein, the blocks being arranged one above the other successively in the obverse and reverse positions. The block near the bottom of the chimney comprising the flue entrance has its passage formed with the entrance orifice at the front side, as shown at c.
