Building blocks for chimneys, special shapes of.-A double-walled hollow block for chimneys has solid columnar corner-pieces which extend beyond one end of the block to form key-pieces c adapted to fit into corresponding recesses d in the corners of the adjacent block. In a construction, Fig- 5, in which a number of chimneys are arranged alongside one another. horizontal projections 5 are also formed at the solid corners of the blocks so as to engage in recesses 6 in the corners of the blocks of an adjacent chimney.
