Bricks, special shapes of.-T-shaged bricks a are provided with shallow stems e and two cavities b in the cross piece symmetrically disposed and extending into the stem and may be arranged in two rows as shown in Fig. 1 or in one row and faced with bricks l grooved at m to receive the stems e as shown in Fig. 2. Corner bricks and bricks for the chimney flue have three cavities k and two shallow stems. The bricks a may have projections and slots f, or slots h which form a tube for grouting. In a modification the bricks may have two shallow stems e, e, Fig. 5, arranged to interlock when assembled.
