[Class 51 (i)] A firegrate is formed of a number of grids, particularly for use with air supply ducts described in Specification 465,418, but not limited to such use, each comprising a number of tapering air supply apertures b terminating at their upper ends in truncated pyramidal projections d arranged in parallel rows set closely together. The edges of the grids are provided with tapering recesses h, the recesses of adjacent grids co-operating to form air nozzles.
