501,056. Arrangements of water-tubes in locomotive fireboxes. OWEN, H. Aug. 21, 1937, No. 22940. [Class 123 (ii)] A row of water-tubes with alternate tubes oppositely inclined are arranged across the back of a locomotive firebox to form an arch. Wash-out plugs are provided in the outer shell B opposite to ends of the water-tubes. Specifications 6118/97, 27949/97, [both in Class 123], and 252,981, [Class 123 (ii)], are referred to.
