[Class 113 (ii).] A collapsable boat has a rigid but hollow stem and stern 1, 2 which are spaced by longitudinals 7 which either extend from stem to stern or to intermediate transverse frames 8. A skin, which may consist of canvas impregnated with artificial resin or may be made of rubber material with thin metallic stiffeners is stretched over the framework and is secured to the stem and stern sections by clamping-bands 10 provided with elbow-fastenings 11, 12. The edges of the skin are protected by gunnel members 9.
