Abstract

350,108. Roller boats. LOMBARDINI, P. C., 23, Larkway Close, Wakeman Hill, London. April 1, 1930, No. 10289. [Classes 113 (ii) and 114.] In roller boats driven by an air or water propeller the rollers 2 are largely encased in recesses in the hull and are driven at a speed commensurate with the speed of the craft and an air or water hydrovane 12 and rudder 10 are provided. In a modification the hull comprises a pair of lateral recessed floats containing the recessed rollers and braced by a structure which supports the central hull containing the control gear. The recesses are extended backwards to conduct away entering water. A vertical stabilizing fin with a rudder 10 may also be provided.
