386,913. Propelling ships; hulls. ALBRECHT, W., 6, Rudolf-Ferberstrasse, Gera, Germany. Aug. 22, 1932, No. 23497. Convention date, Oct. 23, 1931. [Classes 113 (ii) and 114.] The bottom of the hull has a pair of longitudinal channels e, e<1> which open at the bows in elliptical orifices and discharge at the sides through adjustable louvres g. The propellers f, f<1> in the channels are provided with interrupted overlapping screw blades. At the stern additional propellers i, i<1>, l, l<1> are mounted in recesses h, k in the hull. The construction may also be applied to submarine vessels in which case a horizontal rudder may be provided at the stern.
