Abstract
608,967. Boats' hulls. WOOD, G. A. Jan. 15, 1946, No. 1353. Convention date, Feb. 27, 1945. [Classes 113 (i) and 113 (ii)] A ship or boat of the catamaran type has two hulls 8 and 10, each with an inner curved surface and an outer straight surface in the fore-and-aft direction, as shown. One or both of these surfaces may be concave in vertical transverse section. The outer surfaces are faired inwardly at the rear ends at 42 and 44 and rudders 46 and 48 are formed as sections of the hulls. A decked superstructure 53, 54, 55, comprising longitudinal and transverse walls, surmounts and joins the two hulls.
