Abstract

498,214. Ship and boat hulls. BILLING, N. P. July 8, 1937, No. 26087 /36. [Class 113 (ii)] The lower surface of a boat hull has two longitudinally disposed tunnels each bordered by steps having horizontal treads 31, 32, 33 ... and inclined risers 36. The treads and risers may be straight or curved in crosssection. The tunnels contain the propellers 38, the depth of submergence of which can be adjusted selectively to assist steering. The forward ends of the steps merge into a smooth surface.
