Hulls.-In a ship having a hollow propelling@ Fig. 1, disposed beneath the hull proper 1, a rudder 7 is mounted abaft the fin 2 on a bracket or guide 6. The fin 2 is fitted with a motor 3, shafting 4, and a propeller 5, and is made of stream-line form. A number of auxiliary fins 8, 9, Figs. 6 and 10, each carrying a propeller and shafting, may be formed on the main fin 2, and may be disposed on each side thereof. The auxiliary fins may each carry a motor 17, or the shafting therein may be driven from the main motor 3 through gearing.
