Abstract
383,874. Combination ranges. HOBBS & CO., Ltd., B. and HOBBS, B., High Street, Blackheath, Staffordshire. April 22, 1932, No. 11555. [Class 126.] In a combination range having an oven over the open fireplace, the base of the oven 15 extends at the front over the open fire and at the rear over a flue 22 into which leads a flue 12 which extends up from the firespace and is controlled by means so arranged that, when the flue 12 is open the flue 22 is closed at the front, and vice versa. In the form shown, the means controlling the flues comprises a pivoted damper 21 adapted to close alternatively either the front of the flue 22 or the top of the flue 12. The gases pass from beneath the oven up side flues containing baffles 38 and thence to a top flue. The stove is constructed, and is provided with flue-cleaning means, as described in the abridgment of Specification 383,181.
