383,436. Gas fires. GILL, G. M., 82, Victoria Street, London. Nov. 27, 1931, No. 32957. [Class 126.] Air-heating fittings.-In an incandescent gas fire provided with air-heating tubes heated by the combustion products, a chamber 4 superposed on the fire contains tubes 5 each connected at its lower end to a common pipe 6 which opens to the atmosphere at each side of the fire. The air passes into the tube 6 and out of the upper ends of the tubes 5, which may be covered by a grating 8. A baffle 7 may be provided to force the gases to pass to the top of the chamber. The chamber may form a unit attachable to an existing fire in place of the canopy.
