Abstract

370,399. Baffles for smoke tubes of steam boilers. CARTER, J., 32, Trott Street, Battersea, London. Jan. 5, 1931, No. 336. [Class 51 (i).] The smoke tubes 1 of a steam boiler are provided with helical baffles 2 the firebox ends 3 of which are provided with fans 4 adapted to be rotated by the draught. The fans are provided with bosses 5 which are mounted on spindles formed integral with the baffles 2 and the fans are of the same diameter as the interior of the smoke tubes.
