383,204. Extracting castings. SCHNELLPRESSENFABRIK KOENIG & BAUER AKT.-GES., 4, Friedrich-Koenigstrasse, W³rzburg, Germany. May 18, 1932, No. 14187. Convention date, Oct. 8, 1931. [Class 83 (i).] In a casting-machine of the type having a vertical fixed casting mould and a movable casting core for casting plates for use in printing - machines, the plate-receiving table 11 is provided with a resilient mounting, such as springs 12, whereby it is caused to press against the casting core 1 and to move in the same direction as the latter to force itself under the cast plate 5, which is held in position by strippers 6 .. 9. Means, such as a pivoted lever 3 provided with teeth which engage a toothed rack 4 on the table, are provided whereby the table may be retracted against the action of the springs 12 to permit the core 1 to be cleaned. A spring- pressed bolt or pin 10 retains the table in the retracted position. If desired a forked lever adapted to engage a pin secured to a flange on the table may be used as a retracting means.
