Abstract
265,192. Aluminum Die-Casting Corporation, (Assignees of Bungay, G. W.). Jan. 26, 1926, [Convention date]. Casting - machines; clamping moulds. - Die-casting machines are provided with hydraulic means for opening and closing the die. the latter being effected with the greater force. The means for introducing the molten metal and for mounting the dies 25, 26 is the same as that described in Specification 122,420. The piston 21 for operating the die 26 is only slightly larger than its rod 20. The cylinder 12 is pivoted at 16 to a slide 10 adjusted on rods 8 by a rack 13, pinion 14 and handle 15. The die carrier 11 engages an inclined rod 18 on the slide 10 so that when the dies are opened they are lifted from the nozzle 28.
