Abstract

383,077. Valve circuits. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd. and WALKER, R. C., Magnet House, Kingsway, London. Dec. 1, 1931, No. 33301. [Class 40 (v).] A thermionic relay comprises a valve 4 with an electrode 5 receiving a current independent of the anode current and a relay 8 operated by the current received by the electrode 5. On failure of the thermionic current, the relay 8 brings the mechanism to be controlled to a predetermined state, which, in the embodiment shown, is the state brought about by the main relay 6 when the photo-electric cell 2 in the input to the valve is unilluminated.
