Abstract

321,490. General Electric Co., Ltd., and Westell, E. P. L. Sept. 1, 1928. Thermionic amplifiers.-Variations in the anode voltage applied to a valve are compensated by varying the grid bias which is supplied by a resistance 19 the potential across which is dependant on the relation of the anode voltage 10 to that of a constant battery 27. The Figure shows an anode-bend rectifier 8 operating a relay 1 operated at the dialling speed of a machine switch. The voltage difference between batteries 10, 27 is applied to the grid of an auxiliary valve 23 in the anode circuit of which is the resistance 19.
