Abstract

449,349. Valve amplifying circuits. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., Magnet House, Kingsway, London, and ALDOUS, W. H., c/o General Electric Co., Ltd., Wembley, Middlesex. March 15, 1935, No. 8089. [Class 40 (v)] In a push-pull amplifier biassed by the potential drop through a resistance in the cathode lead, a rectifier 12 is provided fed by the input to or the output from the amplifier and arranged to apply positive bias so that the increased negative bias produced by an increase in signal strength is compensated. The Figure shows a condenser 17 feeding the rectifier 12 from the input. In a modification, Fig. 2 (not shown), the rectifier is fed through a condenser from the anode of one of the valves. Specifications 388,292, 402,964, and 421,189 are referred to.
