Abstract

380,533. Two-stroke engines. PETERS, J. A., 30, Caldecote Street, Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire. July 1, 1931, No. 18965. [Class 7 (ii).] In radial cylinder engines with cylinders of two diameters, the upper part 1 of each cylinder is separate from the lower pump part 2. The lower part is integral with the crank case or welded thereto. The inlet passages 6 from the induction pipe 5 to the pump chambers 2 are formed with the lower cylinder part ; the transfer passages 7 are formed in part in the lower cylinder portion and in part in the upper portion.
