378,205. Photographic and kinematograph cameras. SIEMENS & HALSKE AKT.-GES., Siemensstadt, Berlin. Aug. 11, 1931, No. 22718. Convention date, Aug. 15, 1930. [Classes 97 (i) and 98 (i).] The pressure plate of the film channel in kinematograph cameras and photographic cameras employing kinematograph film is provided with interlocking means co-operating with the locking means of the door of the camera casing so that the pressure plate is retracted when the lock of the door is released. In the form shown, the pressure plate 6 is carried by a plate 7 sliding on a partition 3 in the camera. The locking means comprises two hooks (not shown), one carried by the door and the other by a plate 15 operated by an external knob 23. The plate 15 is capable of sliding movement transversely to the plate 7 and bears a cam-slot 14 co-operating with a pin 10 on the plate 7 so that when the plate 15 is moved downwards by the knob 23, the plate 7 is retracted. A spring 26 is provided to retain the knob in closed or open position.
