Abstract

376,092. Electric incandescent lamps. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., Magnet House, Kingsway, London.-(Assignees of Patent-Treuhand-Ges. f³r Elektrische Gliihlampen; 11, Ehrenbergstrasse, Berlin.) Sept. 17, 1931, No. 26083. Convention date, Sept. 17, 1930. [Class 39 (ii).] In an electric lamp of the imitation candle type, a tubular glass envelope with an opaque white or coloured stem 1, Fig. 1, is provided with a frosted pointed upper portion 2 within which is arranged a small incandescent lamp provided with either a clear or frosted bulb 4. The internal lamp may be supported by sealing its foot tube 5 to the upper end of a rod 8 which is sealed at its lower end to the part of the stem 1 cemented to the cap 3 or, as shown in Fig. 2, the lamp bulb 4 may be clamped in a resilient circular loop 9 formed by two supporting wires 10 which are fixed to the cap 3, preferably by a soldered or welded collar. The tubular envelope 1 is detachably fastened to the cap 3 by a clamping ring 12. The supporting wires 10 may be detachably secured to the cap by means of tongues stamped from the latter.
