Jan. 28, 1930, No. 2973. Convention date, May 24, 1929. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. [Class 39 (ii).] Caps of insulating material are .applied to incandescent lamp bulbs by mounting the base 4 of the bulb 1, together with the sealed-up end of the exhaust tube 5 and the leading-in wires 6, 7 within a two-part mould 12, 13 provided with a lateral orifice 15 through which the insulating material is forced, either in the molten or plastic conditior which solidifies on cooling, or as a powder which is transformed into a solid condition by heating or sintering. Preferably the contact members 9, 11 are secured to the leading-in wires 6, 7 respectively before the bulb is mounted in the mould.
