Abstract

1,125,226. Projection lamps. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. 31 March, 1966 [7 April, 1965], No. 14231/66. Heading H1F. A projection lamp comprises a glass bulb 1 with a sealed stem through which are sealed pairs of support wires 4, 5 and 6, 7 (not shown), a concave reflector 11 within the bulb with the mouth offset from the bulb axis, a pair of tabs 21 on the reflector secured to the wires 4, 5 and a single support wire extending from the back of the reflector to one of the other pair of wires, a filament 10 being mounted between lead wires 13, 14 in front of said reflector. The wires are mounted in a ceramic block 15, the wire 13 being connected by a rigid lead wire to the support wire 6 (not shown) and the wire 14 through a ballast filament to the remaining support wire. The support wires may consist of inner and outer sections of nickel-iron alloy with an intermediate section of dumet.
