Abstract

1,179,511. Electric incandescent lamps. SYLVANIA ELECTRIC PRODUCTS Inc. 3 July, 1967 [5 July, 1966], No. 30585/67. Heading H1F. [Also in Division F4] A quartz-iodine lamp 1, forming part of a projector-lamp assembly, has a pressed stem 12 surrounded by a sleeve formed by two sheetmetal parts shaped to fit the stem and carrying a pair of leaf-spring fingers 18 (see also Fig. 6, not shown) which fit resiliently against the two side walls 41 of a yoke 4, to which, after the lamp has been adjusted so that its filament 14 is at the focus of the reflector, they are welded. The lead-in wires 13 of the lamp are connected to the pins 33. The rear of the socket 3 containing the yoke 4 is closed by a ventilated cap 5.
