Abstract

1,012,870. Incandescent electric lamps. PATENT-TREUHAND-GESELLSCHAFT FUR ELEKTRISCHE GLUHLAMPEN m.b.H. March 25, 1964 [April 3, 1963], No.12623/64. Heading H1F. [Also in Division H2] . An electric lamp, for instance a miniature photo-flash lamp, having an elongated tubular envelope 1 and a pressed glass disc 2 forming the base has an annular bead 3 at the junction of the disc and the envelope, the disc having a projection 4 of non-circular cross-section extending outwards in the direction of the lamp axis, the ends of the lead-in wires 5, 6 emerging from the disc close to and at opposite sides of the projection and being cut off short. They may be bent over sharply where they emerge and extend along the surface of the disc as shown or may project as short studs. The lamp may be used in conjunction with a sachet having two semicircular clamping jaws formed at their inner sides with an annular bead and provided at the bottom with two contact springs having a gap between them to accommodate the projection 4. A metallic exhaust tube 7 may be sealed through the disc 2 or one of the lead-in wires may be formed as an exhaust tube.
