Abstract

375,662. Electric incandescent lamp filaments. SIEMENS & HALSKE AKT.- GES., Siemensstadt, Berlin. Oct. 22, 1931, No. 29362. Convention date, Nov. 22, 1930. [Class 39 (ii).] The standard light source of an optical pyrometer comprises a bulb with two incandescent filaments, one of which is of round wire broadened out at the point where it crosses the other. The two filaments have different current temperature characteristics so that there is only one current for which they are equally luminous. In the example 9 is a short round wire filament broadened at 10 by rolling and 8 is a longer band-shaped filament.
