Abstract

<PICT:0374784/IV/1> In a width-dyeing machine for washing, loading or dyeing a web of fabric as described in Specification 356,470, spreading and straightening rollers 26 .. 29 are provided to counteract shrinkage. These rollers are adjustable relatively to one another. The roller 26 serves as a separate laterally stretching element acting on the fabric edges and is adjustable horizontally relatively to the conveying roller 1, the roller 27 serves to stretch the warp threads of the fabric ground. The rollers 28, 29 are both mounted for oscillation about the axis of the roller 27.
