Abstract

372,072. Lubricating stuffing-boxes. PAWLIKOWSKI, T. R., 15, Cottbuser Strasse, G÷rlitz, Germany. April 17, 1931, No. 11468. [Class 12 (ii).] In piston-cooling means comprising telescopic tubes, one 6 of which is secured to the piston 1, and one 8 to a stationary water chamber by a universal joint, the fixed tube is provided with a stuffing-box 9 which can be tightened up by an outer jacket tube 10 which screws into the fixed tube 8, and a supply of lubricating-oil is passed through the annular space 13 between the tubes 8, 10 to the stuffing-box 9, which consists of two parts 16,17.
