Abstract

368,627. Mop wringers. FOGARTY, F. J., 2, Gordon Street, and EDWARDS, W. R., 317, High Holborn, both in London. June 15, 1931, No. 17398. [Class 19.] A metal tube 9 which can slide freely over the handle 1 of a mop has attached to its lower end a rectangular plain casing 10, i.e. one without any additional wringing fitments, to correspond with the shape of the mop-head, w h i c h casing surrounds and compresses the head of the mop when the tube 9 is moved along the handle 1. The head of the mop is formed by folding a plurality of fabric strips 4 over a rod 5 which is fitted at its ends into slots 6 cut in the ends 7 of a U- shaped holder 8, which carries a screwed socket 3 for the handle 1.
