Abstract

181,529. Saunders, E. April 4, 1921. Holders with clamping-devices for mops; screwed fixings. - Relates to mops of the type in which the strands of material are fastened to the handle and to a rod sliding therein, so that the mop can be wrung without soiling t h e hands. The central portions of the strands are fastened in t h e conical head c of the rod b by bending over pointed prongs c<1>. The ends of the strands are secured to the curved lugs e<2> of the socket member e which fits round a sleeve g secured on the end cf the handle a and is prevented from rotating by the tongue g<2> on the sleeve engaging in the slot e<3> in the socket member. The socket member is secured to the sleeve g by a bell-like cover h having a tubular portion k screw-threaded to engage the socket member.
