Abstract

323,967. Hoffman, F. March 9, 1929. Card and like stands. -A flexible poster is provided with rigid strips along two opposite sides and a supporting strut for engagement with the strips to display the poster in a substantially upright position. In the construction shown in Fig. 1, a base member 6, engaged with one strip 11 of the poster 12, is connected by a coil spring 13 to a strut member 5, which may be telescopic, engaged with the other strip 10 of the poster. In a modification the coil spring is replaced by a flat spring pivoted in slots in the base 6 and strut member 5. In a further modification, shown in Fig. 4, the strut member 5 detachably engages a socket 7 in the base member 6.
