Abstract
354,636. Combined brush, scraper, and pad. PAVITT, E. G., 146, Tachbrook Street, London. Nov. 3, 1930, No. 33039. [Class 19.] A cleaning or polishing device comprises one or a pair of cleaning pads 3 detachably held on a parallel-sided brush stock 1 by metal retaining loops 4. The pad 3 may be of velvet filled with sponge rubber or other resilient material. One wire loop 4 is first threaded on the handle and then the other is stretched over the chisel-shaped protruding end 1b of the stock. The pad may readily be reversed end for end. In the case of a pair of pads, these may be joined to a common wire loop at the handle end of the brush, and two outer loops attached to the pads may be accommodated in chisel-shaped grooves in the end 1b of the stock which would provide spaced parallel scraping edges.
