Abstract
381,857. Combination brush and pad ; hand-tool handles. HOGG, T., 47, North Street, Brighton. April 5, 1932, No. 9721. [Classes 19 and 61 (i).] Apparatus for cleaning, polishing, or otherwise treating floors, windows, and other surfaces comprises a base R, Fig. 2, with a handle T and a hinged member Q carrying a pad c and a brush G, either of which may be used at will, being slid sidewise and drawn up parallel with the base R. The pad C is of the laminated type described in Specification 365,456. The pad and brush are removably connected by grooved members F, U, Fig. 4, and a rod E, Fig. 3, connected to two sliding members D in guides P in the base R. The member U is kept central on the rod E by springs S. The element Q is retained in its horizon al position by a fixed abutment B, Fig. 2, and a movable one H which is controlled by a spring wire J.
