[Class 103 (i).] In cycle hub brakes of either the back-pedalling or the handapplied type, the anchoring-arm 7 of the friction plate 8 is connected to the attachment clip 1 on the frame member 2 by a pivoted link 4 movable longitudinally of the cycle, so that the tension of the driving-chain may be adjusted,'or the wheel readily detached, without moving the attachment clip 1. The .arm 7 is provided with an open-ended slot 9 adapted to fit over a screw 5 non-rotatably mounted in the link 4, and the parts are clamped together by a wing-nut 6 having a shoulder adapted to engage a countersunk part or recess formed around the slot 9.
