Abstract

366,338. Cycle mudguards. WASDELL, E. C. and CHATWIN, G. F., Holdford Road Works, Witton, Birmingham. March 31, 1931, No. 9689. [Class 136 (i).] In a cycle mudguard, the looped part a<2> of the-stay a is attached to the mudguard blade, c by means of an arm e, which is hinged by means of a pin f to a plate d secured to the blade c and is provided with a transverse groove g to receive the stay part a<2>, the free end of the arm being fastened to the inner surface of the blade c. As shown, the fastening consists of a pivoted-catch h adapted to engage a staple i, which is fixed to the blade c and passes through a slot e<3> in the arm e. In a modification the free end of the arm e is secured to the blade c by a bolt and nut.
