851,603. Spectacles. PARMELEE PLASTICS CO. Oct. 17, 1956, No. 31560/56. Class 97(1) A spectacle nose pad comprises an elongated body having on its rear surface a pocket or loop arranged to receive and be positively retained by a bracket for mounting the pad on a pair of spectacles, the pad being formed as a moulding so that the pocket or loop is integral with the pad. As shown in Fig 3, the rear surface of a nose pad 10 is provided with an open top pocket 28, within which is a pair of flexible and offset piojections 30 and 32, adapted to engage an elongated perforation 26 in a bent arm 12, Fig. 7, having ears 20 which can be rivetted to the spectacle frame. In another form, the rear face of the nose pad carries a flexible strap 236, Fig. 8, adapted to engage between projecting ears 228, 230 of an arm 214, rivetted to the spectacle frame.
