Abstract
367,487. Spray carburetters. SOC. ANON. LE CARBONE, 37, Rue de Paris, Gennevilliers, Seine, France. Dec. 8, 1930, No. 36974. Convention date, Jan. 7. [Class 7 (iii).] In addition to a main nozzle e and a slowrunning nozzle g delivering through a conduit h, the carburetter is provided with an additional conduit b, one extremity of which is adapted to be uncovered by the butterfly throttle f, the other extremity c terminating near the main nozzle. With this arrangement, mixture is supplied during the interval which usually occurs-before the main nozzle comes into action, and "flat spots are prevented. The main nozzle may be of porous carbon as described in Specification 310,316, [Class 7 (iii), Internalcombustion engines, Carburetting-apparatus &c. for]. The part c of the conduit b may, in a modification, be dispensed with or may be extended in the form of a perforated ring surrounding the nozzle. In a further modification, the part c may be perforated and adjustable by screwing to vary the flow therethrough. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) describes also a construction in which the slow-running conduit h is utilized for the conduit v. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
