365,947. Rudder post assembly for ships. BARNETT, J. M., 67B, Upper Tulse Hill, London. May 29, 1931, No. 15757. [Classes 113 (ii) and 114.] In rudder post assemblies wherein the rudder is formed with a fixed forward portion and movable aft portion having jointly a horizontal cross section of double-convex shape and is provided with an auxiliary forward fin in the vicinity of the propeller boss. The rudder is made up of a fixed portion a, movable portion b, and there is carried at the forward end a vertical auxiliary fin c. Varying rudder shapes are shown in Figs. 2 to 5. Specification 365,911 is referred to.
