Abstract

446,838. Twin-screw vessels. MAYO, R., 6, Lloyds Avenue, London. Nov. 28, 1934, No. 34225. [Classes 113 (ii) and 114] The shafts 3 of the twin-screw vessel are extended so as to be mounted on bosses 4 which are formed on the depending struts 7 constituting the forward half of the streamlined rudder combination with the rudders 14. The two struts 7 are cross-connected by struts 10 with a rear nosing 10a on the main hull. The struts 7 may be made in sections united along a horizontal joint. Specification 446,921 is referred to.
