Classes 113(2) and 114 A protection device for a marine propeller comprises at least two fin members 4. 5, 6 provided one above the other on each side of the hull forward of the propeller 2 and having their outer edges inclined outwardly from their forward to their aft ends. each of the fin members at its aft end extending approximately into alignment with the circumscribed circle of the propeller. The fin members on each side of the hull are substantially parallel with each other in the transverse direction and slope downwardly in that direction.
