Abstract
364,105. Gas burners. ALLENLIVERSIDGE, Ltd. and STEPHENSON, A., Victoria Station House, Victoria Street, London. Aug. 1, 1930, No. 23261. , [Class 75 (i).] An oxyacetylene, oxyhydrogen or similar burner comprises a block formed with a tapered or stepped supply conduit or mixing chamber A<3> of circular cross section and circular burner orifices A<1> formed in nozzle portions A<x> which are integral with the block and are separated from one another by air gaps A<2>. The gaps A<2> may be formed by milling slots in the block or by machining the nozzle portions to a circular cross section. The air passing through the gaps cools the nozzle portions and causes the flames to burn at a slight distance above the block. ' The block may be formed with rows of nozzle orifices having their axes lying in one or more planes. The burner block may be used with blowpipes having the mixing devices described in Specification 349,433.
