Abstract

362,038. Revolving-cylinder pumps. TONKS, P., Bancroft, Coventry Road, Sheldon, Warwickshire. Sept. 17, 1930, No. 27716. [Class 102 (i).] In a pump comprising a cylindrical block f revolving in a stationary block i and formed with transverse bores for pistons h, the latter are reciprocated by cams s on a shaft n, which is driven by gearing from the shaft of the cylinder f. The block i is secured in a casing a, formed in halves bolted together, and containing the liquid to be pumped. The cylinder bores draw from the casing a and discharge through outlets k. The shaft n is carried by levers t pivoted at v and connected to a plunger in a cylinder x, to which the discharge pressure is admitted for varying the piston stroke.
