Abstract

361,170. Thermionic valves. EGYESœLT IZZOLAMPA •S VILLAMOSSAGI R•SZV•NYTARSAS‡G, Ujpest, near Budapest. Dec. 30, 1930, No. 39164. Convention date, Oct. 7. [Class 39 (i).] An electron discharge tube is provided with a plurality of filaments 2 lying in planes parallel with the axis of the stem 1 of the tube, the length of each filament extending in a direction at rightangles to the axis of the stem. The filaments are surrounded by grids 3 and anodes 4 which are parallel to the planes of the filaments. The filaments are joined in series by the connection of one end of each filament to a common plate 14. The grids consist of wire wound about rods 15, 16, the rods 15 being connected by ties 5. The anodes are formed from a single plate 4 bent into the form shown in Fig. 1 and attached to a common baseplate 13 by welding.
