Abstract
366,590. Thermionic valves. ARCTURUS RADIO TUBE CO., 720, Freling- huysen Avenue, Newark, New Jersey, U.S.A. -(Assignees of Krahl, W. L. ; 73, Orange Road, Montclair, New Jersey, U.S.A.) Nov. 7, 1930, No. 33545. Convention date, Nov. 11, 1929. [Class 39 (i).] The anode is provided at each end with fingers secured in flexible insulating plates, in which the cathode grid and two supporting rods are positioned, the anode being attached to one rod and the cathode to the other. The insulating plates of mica or material known by the registered Trade Mark Isolantite, are formed with slots or holes so arranged that the upper and lower plates are interchangeable. The anode consists of a perforated cylinder 18 with flanges 19 each formed at the end with a groove to receive a rod 37. Fingers 22 on each end of the anode are passed through slots 24 in the plates and bent over. A tubular cathode 15, having an internal heating filament 41, fits in openings 23 of square or polygonal shape. The ends of a band 33, welded to the cathode, are bent around the rod 36 and fingers 35 on the band extend through a slot 28 in the plate 17. A rod 26, carrying the grid 14, passes through holes in the plates. A band 30 welded to the rod 26 has grooved extensions 32 passing through a hole in the plate 17 and fitting around a support 38.
