360,452. Impact pulverizers. ERIE CITY IRON WORKS, East Avenue, Erie, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.-(Assignees of Kaemmerling, G. H.; 606, Chestnut Street, Erie, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.) July 9, 1930, No. 20779. Convention date, July 16, 1929. [Class 59.] In an impact pulverizer comprising paddles 12, 18 fixed to a rotatable shaft 4 and a fan 24 for discharging the ground products, an outlet orifice 23 in a diaphragm 22 is provided with a tube 29 which forms a discharge restriction at its inner end with a beater disc 19. The disc 19 on which the paddles 18 are mounted is attached to a hub 21 by bolts 20 and shims may be placed between the disc and hub to vary the discharge opening between the disc and the end of the tube 29. Instead of the disc being moved, the tube may be adjustable toward the disc by being screw-threaded into the diaphragm 22. Specification 357,669 is referred to.
