Abstract

359,402. Centrifugal machines. INTERNATIONAL GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Inc., 120, Broadway, New York, U.S.A.-(Assignees of Allgemeine Elektricitõts-Ges.; 2, Friedrich Karl-Ufer, Berlin.) July 14, 1930, No. 21274. Convention date, July 13, 1929. [Class 23.] Driving, suspending, balancing.-A vertical shaft Sp supporting an underdriven centrifuge, spinning can, or the like, is connected to a rigidly mounted driving shaft w solely through a sleeve h of resilient material, a pin b being passed through both shafts and the sleeve to prevent separation or relative rotation of the parts. The shaft w may, as shown, be constituted by the rigidly mounted shaft of an electric motor or it may be mechanically driven. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also the subject-matter of Specification 347,900. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 347,900.
